DESCRIPTION

Swift is a 2D isometric runner game based on high­speed obstacle avoidance. It is inspired by the gameplay of Zaxxon. Swift features an emphasis on using speed strategically to avoid geometric obstacles.

CONTRIBUTION

  • Player Handler: Worked on the player handler for the game. Made the player move in isometric coordinates on user input. Simulated the tilting of the 2D player during turning or changing height, using sprite sheet.

  • Shadows: Simulated shadows in the game, which helped in showing the height of the player and other objects above the ground level.

  • Level Design: Design of different types of obstacles in the game, Lasers, moving spheres etc. Speed changers are intentionally placed at their respective locations.
